A Houston Native, Jackson has been an avid fan of the Rockets since before Tracy McGrady sucked the gravity right out of the building. A broadcast journalism graduate from the University of Houston with previous roles at ESPN 97.5 and SportsTalk 790, Jackson is currently a Partner of Apollo Media and also host of the Locked On Rockets Podcast.


Collin is a Houston lifer with a passion for all things H-Town. An undefeated Astros little league team sparked a life-long fandom of the Houston Astros. Watching the Rockets win back-to-back championships as a child became a fabric of his being. The Texans exist. Collin enjoys creating quirky video and image content for Apollo Media and co-hosts the Apollo Hour sometimes-live podcast where he and Dez (and guests) keep the city updated on the latest Houston sports news — with some personal flair baked in for sweetness.


Born and raised in Houston, Taylor has begrudgingly loved the Rockets for most of his life. Taylor is a former contributor to FanSided Network’s House of Houston and Salman Ali’s RedNationHoops blog and podcast. For Apollo Media, he is the host of “Rockets Watch Party” and proud owner of the only ORCKETS jersey in existence.


Jakob had been born with a medical condition that would send him through a whirlwind of surgeries/checkups for most of his life, but that didn’t stop him. Jakob had moved to Houston in 2011, and quickly became a fan of the Houston Texans, before they had bombed themselves, to which then he found his love for baseball and become an avid Houston Astros fan. Jakob is currently a video editor for Apollo Media, working in the Astros branch. 


Tony is a graphic designer and web developer who’s been a Houston sports fan since the late ’70s. He is the creator of SignStealingScandal.com, a project where he logged all the trash can bangs from the Astros 2017 season. He won the 2021 SABR Contemporary Baseball Analysis Award for his work.


First and foremost a lifelong Houston Rockets fan, Lachard is the director of basketball operations for Overtime Heroics, contributor for Space City Scoop, and podcast host for The Launch Pad Podcast on the Apollo Podcast Network.


Hailing all the way from the United Kingdom, George has been an avid fan of the Houston Astros since the start of the 2000 season. In June 2017 George started the Twitter account @AstrosFansUK providing Astros fans with energetic play-by-play live tweets during ballgames and now hosts the ‘‘Stros Across The Globe’ podcast.


Born and raised in Houston by way of South West Alief Texas. Grew up on Houston sports with a special affinity for Astros Baseball and professional wrestling. Bringing dank memes and player-hating to Apollo, because sometimes we all need just a little bit of negativity to spice things up.


Lead Rockets social for Apollo and Producer of The Launch Pad Podcast, Zach Zola — like new head coach Stephen Silas — is a graduate from Brown University. Although he was born and raised in New York, Zach has been a lifelong Rockets fan since Yao Ming came into the league. He believes that James Harden is the only King James in the NBA.


Back in 2003 Stone was playing Backyard Baseball on his GameBoy and fell in love with Jeff Bagwell. Ever since he’s been an avid fan of the Houston Astros. Stone graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in journalism, while running the Mississippi State Barstool social accounts for 2+ years. Currently he’s the host of Apollo’s college baseball podcast, “Road to Omaha.” 


By day a freelance information security analyst and engineer, Brit became a Rockets fan shortly before the back-to-back championships, and a die-hard fan when Morey traded Lamb for Harden.

She is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, and a Masters Degree in Information Assurance and Security. Her interests include discussing high level Rockets on-court activities, NBA CBA topics, and other generalities surrounding the Rockets and basketball. She’s also a big fan of robots.

Born and raised in Houston, Ben was born into an Astros household. While the Texans drove him to become a Bills fan, the Astros and Rockets were always his first loves. After playing D3 baseball at Hendrix College, Ben now serves as a lead blog editor and contributor for the baseball side of Apollo while attending law school.

Tamer Knight is a sports reporter from Houston, Texas. She is a recent graduate from the University of Houston with a Master of Arts in Mass Communication and Public Relations, minor. Furthermore, she is a Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Alumni with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and Communications minor.

Tamer has been selected to the ESPNU Campus Connection Team, the recent University of Houston Women’s Basketball In-Game Host for the 2019-2020 season, an ESPN Radio 97.5 (Houston) Intern, a member of Houston Association of Black Journalist and a sophisticated woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.


Justin grew up a big time Houston sports fan, a University of Houston alum where he graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism, now a local play-by-play announcer in the Houston area that’s psyched to join the Apollo crew. H-town for life.


Being born and raised in Houston led to Drew becoming a die-hard Houston Rockets fan. Currently attending the University of Houston and pursuing a finance degree. Loves the Rockets but also appreciates great basketball no matter the team.


Brian graduated from THE Sul Ross State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a minor in Journalism where he was also a two-year baseball team captain and an ASC Conference All-Conference outfielder.
Prior to joining Apollo Media, LaLima was a Sports Reporter for SportsTalk790 and co-host of Clutch City Sunday where Apollo Partner Jackson Gatlin was his producer. LaLima covered the Astros and Rockets from 2018-2020.

Justin Levine is a blogger for Apollo Media. In 2020, Justin founded Fadeaway Finance, which is dedicated to marrying business and basketball, with a particular focus on the Houston Rockets. Mr. Levine was previously a writer for Red94, having written extensively about Rockets ownership and business planning. He has also guested on the Locked On Rockets podcast.

Justin has spent his 14-year professional career in various business roles throughout different industries, focused primarily on analyzing and making investments, coordinating financings, and leading corporate development initiatives. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business and Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University.


Born and raised in Houston, Aqib grew up a die-hard Rockets fan. He fell in love with the sport after watching Stevie Franchise dribble up and down the court.

Aqib is currently an Industrial Engineer by profession, but enjoys writing about the Houston Rockets. He’s previously written for USA Today’s Rockets Wire and The Lead SMG. He is also an alumnus from the University of Houston. Go Coogs!


Growing up in Baltimore without a local franchise, Tyler often found himself mesmerized by the way James Harden played (and dominated) the game. This fascination with Harden’s game quickly turned into a love for all things Houston sports.
