This is a big game pitcher, this is a playoff pedigree arm, this is big. You have a roto that’s deep 1-5 and you just add another arm who has a career 2-2 record in the playoffs with a 2.83 ERA in 57 innings and a 9.7 K/9. That will play.

We all know the legend of Lance, all the curveballs, the Yankee whiffs, but what I love the most is that you now have a 3rd arm in the rotation that can go through a lineup three times in the playoffs. That allows Miller and Murphy to get creative on how they want to attack teams. They could go piggyback with another starter or let the high leverage guys eat. Games in theory now, get extremely short. August and September might just be window dressing for the team but I am excited to see Lance get spun up and stretched out in preparation for the ALDS.
