Tuesday night was pretty much a must win for the Dallas Stars. They were down 2-1 in their round two series against the Seattle Kraken coming off one of the worst losses of the season in game three. The team needed better goaltending and their electric offense, and boy did they get both. The Dallas Stars offense dominates as they tie up this series against the Seattle Kraken.

The first period was completely controlled by Dallas for the most part. The defense and goaltending from Jake Oettinger were back to their normal state, and the offense was peppering shots at Seattle all period long. While the Stars should have had at least a couple of goals to their name by the end of the period, Jamie Benn wristed one in during the power play with a little less than three minutes left in the period.
Roope Hintz was definitely the catalyst in that play as he pushed three Kraken players deeper into the zone with his speed, and left the puck just past the blue line for Benn to toe drag home the wrister. Going into the first break, the Stars had most of the momentum, but needed more to put this Kraken team away.

In the second period it was more of the same. Lots of shots on goal for Dallas, and good defense and goaltending. Thomas Harley scored his first goal of the playoffs less than five minutes into the second period, and less than five minutes later, Max Domi put the third goal in the back of the net. The Stars were buzzing.
Of course, Joe Pavelski couldn’t go another game without a goal, as he’s up to six goals this playoffs in only five games played. Pavs was moved back into the best line in hockey for game four, and you could tell a difference in the way that Jason Robertson played. He looked more in sync and comfortable on the ice, and he put some good pucks on net. Unfortunately none of them went in for Robo, but he looked like he started to get his footing again.

Things got a bit dicey in the third period after Seattle scored their third goal of the game with just over four minutes to go. Eventually, Domi raced after a lose puck and brought home an empty net goal to make the final score 6-3.
This Kraken team is fast and resilient, so you can never count them out of any game. Even with the Stars dominating the game in most statistical categories, it always felt like the Kraken were looming.
The teams will get back to it Thursday night in Dallas in the ever important game five. Tuesday night was a good night for Texas hockey fans because the Dallas Stars offense dominated as they tied up this series.
