Updated this tweet: Astros reliever Bryan Abreu was suspended two games for what MLB deemed an intentional hit by pitch in Game 5 of the ALCS. If Abreu appeals, there will be a hearing within 48 hours. If any suspension is upheld and the Astros are alive, he would serve it now.

Once again, MLB has made its presence within the Houston Astros clubhouse. MLB has suspended Bryan Abreu for two games for “intentionally” throwing a pitch at Adolis García. Free Bryan Abreu.

For anyone in their right mind to believe that the first pitch fastball that hit García in the arm (even with his numbers on the back of his jersey ) to put two runners on with no outs in a two run ball game, those people must be delusional. The Astros are trying to win a ball game in the ALCS, they are not going to intentionally throw at someone to get “revenge” for bat flipping a three run homer in a pivotal playoff game.

Lunacy. Delusional. Insane. Out of their minds. Ridiculous. Targeted. These are all words I would use to describe MLB’s actions in suspending Bryan Abreu, and then expediting the process of an appeal to ensure that he either misses time in the ALCS or if the Astros were to move onto the World Series, to miss games then.
I will not stand for this injustice. Free Bryan Abreu.

Lock him up! It’s an Astro’s team in October. You really think this club respects the rules of the game and plays rationally? Absolutely not.
