The Rockets blew out a team they should have blown out. Cam Whitmore has a case for a rookie first team selection. (Did they put restrictions on that like the MVP? I dunno.) Last night was truly a near-perfect outing for the entire team. Let’s get in to it. What We Learned Houston Rockets Edition: Game 48.
Cam Whitmore is now averaging 25 points per 36 minutes on 60 TS%. That is insane and unheard of for a rookie, let alone a teenager.

Had 25 last night. He's already an elite play finisher and a developing creator. A star in the making pic.twitter.com/8qQz2ppuZI
Jalen Green had a weird night but overall shot 50% from the field and saw some successful drives in limited minutes.

We didn’t need to bring the big guns out last night. The game came naturally to a team who’s talent shines when it can.
Speaking of shining talent, this was Amen Thompson’s night. Could he finally be turning that corner towards stardom? If there is any indication from last night, I’d say absolutely yes.

This might be the most fun, yet stressful Rockets season I’ve witnessed since the bubble year. The overall vibes are unmatched. Stone, please do not break this core up. We do not have to win now, whatsoever!
Is it time to experiment with Cam Whitmore in the starting lineup? Imagine 30+ minutes of this level of young greatness a night. Good God.
The young 6 are providing strides I couldn’t even fathom during the construction of this rebuild. My expectations for this squad have grown immensely.
Rockets blow out Toronto 135-106. Back to facing great teams again. Lord, this schedule never lets up.
Grudge match against Minnesota tomorrow night.
Can’t wait.
See y’all then. What We Learned Houston Rockets Edition: Game 48.
