The dog of days of summer are kicking my ass.
Hand-up making content right now feels kind of redundant. It has been 18 straight months of surviving, creating original content, thinking of new ideas, and just waking up the next day and doing it all again. It feels like a fog or your spinning tires in the mud. I don’t obviously speak for all content creators right now, but I think they have all had this moment that any idea you have just fuckin sucks, in your brain, it sucks, you put it on paper, it sucks, you say it out loud, it sucks. That’s where I have been for the last week and a half and half the time; these are excellent ideas; it is just not the right time or not having the right resources, aka COLD HARD CASH, to make it happen. I have the literal best job in the world; it is hunt or die, it is survive and advance every single day, but the thrill of betting on yourself is second to none and keeps me going along with this amazing community we have all built together. I think putting words on the site to express this helps with the fog because as we approach the home stretch of the baseball season we also have College Football and the NFL kicking off and it’s going to be a perfect storm of content. A grind for sure but something I love to embrace because it will be the first time juggling 3 major sports at one time. I am sure we will have some bumps and bruises along the way, but I want Apollo to be the place for all your content. But how do we get there? The secret is to fall in love with the grind, and that’s something about Apollo that makes everything so special here because everyone here has that gene, that gene where you embrace the grind, the gene where you can take one little idea and run with it into a wall a hundred times but that hundred and first well that’s when the wall falls. So as my fog clears and my tires get unstuck, you’ll be seeing an uptick in content. That’s embracing the video content side of things, that’s the rollout of our College Football content and NFL content platforms, the full-frontal assault of Astros content for the Race of October. We never want to be in the marketplace; we want to create the marketplace. As the dog days of summer turn to fall, it is time to step up and take it to the next level.
