Off-Day Thoughts August 29, 2022: Drinking at a Movie Theater Rules

There are many places to drink that are very enjoyable. Establishments such as bars, concerts, parties, work, and in your own bedroom. This immediately leads us to the point of this blog; you’re not going to the right place to drink.

Friends, go to your local multiplex cinema or regal center for watch a brand new blockbuster to drink your ass off to. This is the brand new wave in the age old activity that is getting shit-hammered. There are several facts and statistical analyses that prove this article to be correct.

You’re still not on the wave? Allow yourself to be enlightened.

It Makes the Movie Better

Watching movies is one of the few things we have left. The movie being good is the biggest plus. But what if the movie is not good? Drink up! This will make any movie you watch going forward be better than it actually is.

In 2020, I watched Unhinged starring Russell Crowe in an empty theater. The movie is most likely viewed as “not good”. I would not that that though. I drank, boy. You bet I drank. And it made the movie own so hard. I promise that. It also made me feel better about the $11 movie ticket and $4 parking.

And you wouldn’t believe what it will make the good movies feel like. I was bawling watching Bad Boys 3.

It Makes For a Great Date

Need a date idea? Go drink while watching a Fathom Events with your partner. It would be a night you both will never forget.

The movies is already a great place as a first date. The movie you watch invites conversation regarding it immediately after. Which is great when you don’t really know what to say. Add in drinks though and who even knows what you’ll say after. You’ll just be yourself after a few cold brews.

Once I went on a date to see Black Christmas (1974) at Alamo Drafthouse. We both ordered cocktails and had a few laughs during the previews. The wrote me a note in French after and it was beautiful. The point is that we had fun because of alcohol!

I wonder where she is.

You Lose Track of How Much You Drink

We all stress about things. We have our own problems. The stresses of everyday life spills over into the bar sometimes and you limit the amount of beers you get. It’s cool most of the time, but what if you’re trying to cut loose?

The local movie auditorium is your answer.

The massive, loud, flashy screen will demand your attention most of the time. It will cause you to forget how many beers you order. Did you order 4 beer? Was it 5? 8? Who cares! You’re watching Avatar 2!

So, yes. The theater is a great place to cut loose.

Finishing up here.

If you haven’t been to your local cinema to pull a few back, then read the article over and over until you do. I promise you. You will thank me.
