Jake’s Gambling Pit: Week 5

Record: 7-9-1 (+/- 0 Units)

Week 4 was not a good weekend in the pit. With that being said I am back with more picks. At this point, if you guys are reading this to fade me, then so be it.

Michigan -11 at Iowa

Michigan’s most challenging test so far, and it’s in Kinnick against an elite defense. Everyone knows that this Iowa offense is atrocious, but they will clamp down on this Wolverine offense that hasn’t been tested yet. Iowa keeps this one under double digits and also take the under.

Iowa +11 and Under 42

Texas A&M +4 at Miss State

These teams are almost polar opposites. The air raid of the Will Rodgers led Mississippi State Bulldogs, against the Aggies’ defense. Look for Miss State to take advantage of 3 step drops and quick hit passes to stay ahead of the Aggie pass rush. Bulldog’s defense will have something to prove and an inconsistent A&M offense is the perfect opponent.

Miss State -4

Indiana +4  at Nebraska

I know what everyone is thinking. “How is Nebraska favored against anyone, let alone over a field goal?”. Indiana has a few wins under its belt, but none of the wins are against quality opponents. Look for the Huskers to put up points at home, and their defense gets some confidence against a below-average offense.
Nebraska -4
