Jake’s Gambling Pit: Championship Week

Record: 27-21-2 (+4.8 Units) 56%

We ended the regular season with a 56% hit rate and are up 4.8 units on the year. As we go into championship week there are a few games that I love.

USC vs Utah +2

Last time these two teams played Utah edged out a one point emotional win at home, under the lights. The USC is playing some of the best ball in the country over the last few weeks. I was impressed with the way the Trojans controlled the line of scrimmage, which will be a key to the game Friday night. Get this line early, because it will go up closer to game time.

USC -2

Troy vs Coast Carolina +8.5

This one is easy. If Grayson McCall doesn’t play you take Troy no matter what the line is. If McCall does play, stay away from the game. Troy has a tough defense and with no McCall the Trojans roll.

Troy -Anything (If McCall doesn’t play)

Boise State vs Fresno +3

The Broncos defeated the Bulldogs 40-20 earlier in the year. That game was played without star quarterback Jake Haener. Fresno gets their leader back under center, and they will avenge their loss. If you want to put down ML on an underdog this weekend, this is the one.

Fresno State +3 (Also, should consider ML)

Clemson vs North Carolina +7

Both teams are coming off of bad losses to their arch rival. North Carolina has failed to control the line of scrimmage all year, and that is where Clemson thrives on both sides of the ball. Look for the Tigers to run away with this. Get on this line now, because it is going to go up.

Clemson -7
