The Houston Rockets, on an evening where Alperen Sengun was hurt, we’re able to overcome the insurmountable. Essentially a David v. Goliath type matchup between the Houston Rockets and the Boston Celtics where the Rockets came out VICTORIOUS! Yes everyone play Bobby Roode’s “Glorious” entrance and extend those arms in glory!! The 16-52 Rockets somehow defeated the now 47-22 Celtics in a fashion that no one could’ve predicted.

Jabari Smith Jr: Knockdown Shooter

Not enough can be said about the torrential downpour of rain that Jabari Smith Jr has given the league recently. If I were a weather man, I’d emphatically say the forecast screams JABARI! Smith Jr has been lighting up the box score, as of late, and tonight was no different.

For the most part, his shooting efficiency has been been extraordinary. To say the least, these types of performances are just a part of the experience that is Jabari Smith Jr. Some would even argue that he could’ve taken more than 11 shots, and with that, I agree. With the efficiency, ideally he should’ve taken between 15-18 shots but I digress. Basically the shots came in rhythm and nothing was forced from Jabari. Despite what all the doubters and naysayers have said, you cannot count this man out. To call him a “bust” less than a whole year into his career is disgustingly criminal. The Commish said it best, “Don’t let the kid get hot!”

Sengun out; no problem!

Alperen Sengun was out tonight, with a groin strain, and is day to day. Although he is possible for Wednesday’s game against the Lakers, I think if he is not 100% then let the man sit. Although Sengun is one of the most exciting players on this roster, the one thing I want to see is this particular starting 5 run more.

The addition of Tari Eason in the lineup, replacing Sengun, is definitely interesting. Eason in the lineup tonight did not have a sexy statline with 6 pts, 9 rebs, and 2 assts but his presence was certainly felt throughout the game. This 5 can rotate, defensively, with anyone and with more reps I can see this lineup doing major damage down the line. Major shoutouts to 3 players that played particularly well tonight:

Jalen Green, Kevin Porter Jr, and KJ Martin.

All 3 players played a role in helping this team achieve victory and it couldn’t have been written any better. Jalen set the pace with 28 points while shooting 10-11 from charity stripe. Seeing him up his FT attempts is gonna be a much bigger deal as the years go by. KPJ played one of his most efficient games , as a playmaker, with 13 assists to only ONE turnover in nearly 38 minutes of play. That’s INSANE efficiently from KPJ and is a testament to his growth as a player. KJ Martin poured in another quiet 20 points to help the Rockets achieve victory. The all around game, of everyone, is definitely something Rockets fans can hang their hat on.

Is momentum happening?

Going 3-3 in the last 6 games and 3-4 in the month of March is a small statement right now. With the Los Angeles Lakers visiting on Wednesday, this game can be another shot back to earth for the Rockets. The Lakers, currently the 9th seed in the west and are 2.5 games back of the 5th seed, are looking very strong without Lebron. Their push for the Playoffs couldn’t happen at a better time for them and the Rockets are looking to put a halt to that like a locomotive. Curious to see how the Rockets perform Wednesday but confidence is building in that locker room. The Rockets have a shot to make a statement and capitalize so what are they waiting for? Rockets fans will get their answer come Wednesday evening.
