How SWEEP it is: Astros take down the Braves

When the weather heats up, so do the Astros. It is a tale old as time, yet we sit here and ponder every year “will they”? The Atlanta Braves sure as hell didn’t expect the 2023 Show Stros to roll into town and flex the way we all thought they would.

Starting Pitching

Hunter Brown, the Ace who was promised, was touched up for the first time in his career but yet he stayed the course and delivered 7 punchies over 4 2/3. The most impressive thing after the first inning was the constant battle Hunter didn’t stray from. That’s GROWTH.

Framber Valdez, The Framchise, ho hum just another 7 innings of 3 run ball with 9 PUNCHIES. The constant heartbeat of the staff just continues to produce every 5th day.

Cristian Javier, is just the damn DUDE, 10 PUNCHIES over 6 and only going up 1 run. We all thought Javier would emerge as the next top arm, but to watch it evolve in front of us is pretty damn sweet.

The Bullpen

The bully is full of bullies. This was the 2022 championship bullpen.

The Offense

Yordan. Alvarez.

Why would you keep pitching to him? Literally just walk him.

Corey Julks, Maurcio Dubon, and Jake Meyers have been pretty damn good at the plate. They deserve their roses, especially when the offense is not at full force.

A sweep of the potential NL champions is always a good thing, off to Tampa who is hotter than hot.
