Uh oh the bad boys of baseball might just be back. The Houston Astros sweep the Chicago Cubs to add onto their now four game win streak. The Astros have won three series in a row and are about to get Jose Altuve back in the lineup. I smell trouble for the rest of the league.

Monday night, the Astros jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning. There were signs of life in the bats that we haven’t seen so far this season, and Astros fans began to rejoice. Unfortunately we didn’t get the lights out Framber Valdez start. He got through four innings after giving up four runs and the score was tied until seventh inning when Alex Bregman stepped up to the plate.

Game two was much more of the same from the bats. They put up seven runs and the game wasn’t really competitive after the fourth inning. It was a double onslaught in the fourth inning as Yordan Alvarez, Kyle Tucker, Corey Julks, and Chas McCormick all had doubles that drove in a run.
The lineup was relentless and Cristian Javier was stellar, once again. He threw six innings and only gave up one run. The normal bullpen go-to’s were able to get some rest since the offense put up big numbers on the scoreboard. The game ended 7-3 and the Astros had won their third series in a row with an opportunity to sweep on Wednesday night.

Game three didn’t really get off to the start that the Astros wanted. J.P. France made his first home start in Minute Maid Park, and it was his worst start out of the three that he’s made so far in his short career. He threw 3.2 innings and gave up all six runs from the Chicago Cubs. Some days you’ve got it, and some days you don’t. France didn’t have it Wednesday night.
Luckily, the lineup is on fire this week. The Astros scored six runs in the final two innings, including a major comeback in the ninth after scoring the final four runs of the game. Kyle Tucker decided to Fly the W and walk-off the Chicago Cubs to sweep the series.
