It felt as if it were an inevitable conclusion, once the lottery had ended, that Amen Thompson was going to be drafted by the Rockets. Thankfully, with the 4th pick, although we weren’t grabbing Wemby or Scoot, Amen is a great consolation prize. At 6’7, with incredible play king abilities paired with his athleticism and defensive capabilities, he is an absolute superb fit with the Rockets. Pairing him up with Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr, and Alperen Sengun gives so much versatility to this lineup.
