What a response from my Ace. Last week, someone leaked that JV had been acting more like a “diva” than ever, and called out the analytics department while in New York. JV didn’t think they were up to the same standard as the Astros, and uh, yeah, their record proves that for him. Justin Verlander buried the 2023 New York Mets yesterday with one simple tweet.

Since JV has been back in Houston it seems as if he’s much happier. He’s getting paid the same amount as he was as a New York Met, and now he gets to be on a World Series contender again. What a deal.
The Astros have been known to have one of the best, if not the best, analytical department during the last six seasons of the Golden Age. So, if Justin Verlander is telling you the system isn’t up to par, then you should probably look into some things.

Those who could read his lips said he kept repeating “Jon Singleton bat flip tanks. Jon Singleton bat flip tanks. Jon Singleton bat flip tanks..”
He was then seen looking up at… pic.twitter.com/VWPhKpAcyD
Who’s going to look at one of the best pitchers of their generation and tell them that they’re wrong, or that he’s being a “diva”? Couldn’t be me. Justin Verlander buried the 2023 New York Mets yesterday with a simple tweet.
