Two things:
- Jalen Green has played GREAT over the last three games.
- We were not the ones to break the Pistons streak (thank you, Toronto).
Let’s get in to it. What We Learned: Houston Rockets Edition Game 31.
Amen Thompson can get his feet in the paint anytime he wants to.

This was the perfect game to showcase our youth. Amen Thompson had his first game above 25 minutes and showed out in efficient spurts. Newly anointed “Slam” Whitmore dunked all over Marvin Bagley and really made his presence known in only nine game minutes.

It seems like the Momma Eason pep talk worked wonders as Jalen is averaging 25 points on great shooting splits in the three games since the tunnel conversation.
This game was doomed for the Pistons from the beginning. Detroit made it close until a 47 point outburst in the third quarter came from Houston and the boys didn’t look back.
Twin Night at the Toyota Center made for a great night of overall basketball but more importantly, we are beginning to get more answers than questions. Hell of a bounce back game that truly showed everything this team has to offer at the moment.
Fun fact: The Houston Rockets have 4 players shooting 40+ 3PT% on catch and shoot 3s this season.

1. Aaron Holiday, 44.4% on 2.5 3PA
2. Fred VanVleet, 42.4% on 3.1 3PA
3. Dillon Brooks, 41.6% on 3.2 3PA
4. Jabari Smith Jr, 40.7% on 3.6 3PA
They had none last year (2+ 3PA).
Heres a minute long compilation of Alperen Sengun driving on a weak Detroit Pistons defense.

The youth movement is here to stay in Houston. We can’t wait to see where this takes us.
See y’all Wednesday for Nets vs. Rockets. What We Learned: Houston Rockets Edition Game 31.
