Everyone take a damn deep breath, it will be all okay. Water will find its level and the Houston Astros will be a top tier team in the MLB. One week has passed since Opening Day, even tho baseball doesn’t start until April and I have some takes.
THE GOOD
- Jose Altuve is and will forever be a first ballot Hall of Famer. One week into the season and he is slashing .345/.406/.759 with a modest 1.165 OPS.
- Yainer Diaz, is the future and the present. Thank you Jimmy Click. What a fleece of a trade he pulled off. .462/.517/.731 with a 1.248 OPS and your everyday starter.
- Is JP3 back? 2 boombahs after a 10 month drought, a .400 AVG and a 1.124 OPS. Yeah, I am thinking he is back.
- Ronel Blanco NO- HITTER. We almost had a Maddux but we got our 17th Franchise No-No. Another Blue Jay has struck out on a change piece while you read this.
- The Starting Rotation must have heard everyone this off season, because they’ve been absolute DAWGS.
- Joe Espada getting his first career win.

The Bad
