The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

I was close to breaking.

Friday night in the Juicebox, South Oklahoma intown, andddd then we were down by a lot. By the time I was sitting in the suite for our guy Sam’s (eat at Big City Wings) birthday. The game felt done and dusted. Then something weird happened. The Rangers swiped a bag up 9-3, then they threw at Yordan Alvarez and then King Tuck hit a boombah onto Congress Avenue and let everyone know about it. Yes, they lost but we finally saw a spark from this team that was missing.

Saturday and Sunday, I think we can circle as when the season started. Ronel Blanco and Cristian Javier absolutely put the team on their backs and right arms by going deep. The offense said “F, you” let’s hang a crooked number. The boys were on the top step letting South Oklahoma have it and winning fixes everything.

The Good

1. Jose Altuve – My goodness. He might mess around and win an MVP this season. He is the catalyst to this entire Golden Era.
2. Pissed off King Tuck – Dont throw at the big man in front of him.
3. Joey Loperfido – This past week Loperfido slashed .423/.559/1.077/1.636 with two doubles, five HR and 13 RBI. Sounds good?
4. Seth Martinez and Brandon Bielak throwing 900 pitches in one week.
5. Ronel Blanco certified 100 percent stud.
6. Cy Javier is back with the invisball and a new changeup.
7. Jeremy Pena, I see you big dog. Here’s an attaboy.
8. Victor Caratini brings the damn JUICE.

The Bad

1. I think we will see this less, but G1 vs. The Royals, it felt like the offense played with its food. They had Ragans on the ropes, he had given up 10 hits but only 3 runs. Didn’t put him away and then The Royals came back and won. When you have a team on their heels have to put them on the canvas.
2. Walks, Walks, WALKS. If you get beat on a pitch so be it, that is the game we’ve played since we were children, but when its a walk here, walk there and then a base hit yeah that is how you have 11 losses in April.
3. Giving up 40 runs in 4 straight losses.

1. Being swept by the Royals
2. Starting Pitching not named Ronel Blanco or Cristian Javier
