NASCAR’s exciting season continued at Iowa Speedway with Ryan Blaney claiming his first victory of the season in a fantastic race. Now NASCAR heads to New England for the 2024 USA TODAY 301. The forecast looks like a washout for the weekend but we’ll preview the race anyways.
Can Ryan Blaney go back-to-back or will another driver claim victory at New Hampshire Motor Speedway?
2024 USA TODAY 301
For the second straight week in the Cup Series, we don’t see any real excitement or changes on the entry list. The only difference comes in the #16 car for Kaulig Racing where Ty Dillon will climb behind the wheel.
As for the track, New Hampshire has a history of not producing the best on-track product and once the weather moves off, I’m not expecting much of the racing. Though not technically a short track, New Hampshire runs most like one. As we have talked about here at Apollo, the NextGen cars struggle to produce exciting racing on short tracks.
2024 USA TODAY 301 Race Odds and Predictions
Christopher Bell (+400) and Martin Truex Jr. (+500) represent the top two in the odds for Sunday’s race. With the threat of rain and a Monday race looming large, this race has MTJ written all over it. I’m riding with the #19 so much so that I don’t really feel the need to touch on the rest of the field for this one.
