After over a decade EA brought their beloved College Football series back, and it’s amazing. It feels like a love letter to the game that we love, looks incredible, but it isn’t perfect.
After speaking to a few friends we all seem to be having an issue with noticing catches. When a receiver is tackled the user loses site of the ball and you end up holding your breath for a solid two seconds. Maybe it will take some time to get used to, but a clearer view of the ball would be nice
I’ve already mentioned the detail in the stadium being great but the outside is overlooked. @CFBKings brings up the best example at Kansas.
One of the only things I’ve been a little disappointed by in CFB25 is the scenery surrounding each stadium.

The most stark example I’ve found so far is Kansas’s hill, which in NCAA14 had fans/tents/tailgating/cars, but now is about as bland as can be. pic.twitter.com/9B58CECEwM
Teambuilder was another feature that was utilized by diehard fans. Creating your own football program or a lower level college/high school and importing into dynasty gave your endless fun. One of the more disappointing reports is that the new teambuilder will not feature customizable stadiums. In NCAA 14 you had about 5 different original (also generic) stadiums to pick from, or use an already existing university. I expected that EA would take the next step and let you build your own stadium from scratch, but unfortunately that isn’t in the works quite yet. That being said, I’m starting to see some of the fictional teams being created. It’s going to be fun looking up some of these squads.
Bring Back Mascot Mode
Lastly, like most recent sports games there are random glitches that have popped up. From the pause menu’s score being wrong, HokieBird being at the wrong game, to an opposing player running out with the home team and more. Luckily, most glitches are details and not from gameplay.

I am thrilled that “NCAA” is back. Fans of the game would pour literal days into their dynasties, not to mention the Road to Glory mode. The detail is exactly what fans have been looking for, and has satisfied our hunger. Is it perfect? No, but it’s what we needed.
P.S.
Maryland fans have a right to be annoyed. C+ Academic prestige to a world class institution, touching the shell of the turtle instead of the head, and the wrong song being played during their entrance is enough for the Terps to write a justified grievance to EA.
