Las Vegas Motor Speedway saw Josh Berry pull off the victory and finally snap Christopher Bell’s winning streak to start the season. Now NASCAR travels back to the East Coast as they head to South Florida for the 2025 Straight Talk Wireless 400 from Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Will Bell get back into Victory Lane? Can Berry or Byron claim a second victory on the season? Let’s dive into it.
2025 Straight Talk Wireless 400 Preview
While the chartered entries remain unchanged, we do have an open entry in the field for this week at Homestead. JJ Yeley will be behind the wheel of the #44 in Sunday’s race.
Like last week at Las Vegas, Homestead is a 1.5-mile circuit. However, unlike last week at Vegas, Homestead’s layout is a true oval – not a quad-oval. While Las Vegas saw most cars trying to stick to the bottom through the corners, Homestead’s layout has drivers ripping the wall through the turns. The result is one of my favorite visuals in the sport as drivers live on the edge trying to find speed.
Are they touching the wall?

Side-by-side racing will still happen but it will be a fight to get on the high side, the action should be electric once again. Several drivers excel at this track so let’s go ahead and dive into the favorites for Sunday’s race.
2025 Straight Talk Wireless 400 Race Predictions
Last fall at Homestead, Tyler Reddick claimed victory in an absolute banger of a race featuring one of the best individual driver performances in the closing laps that I’ve ever seen. Reddick always runs well here, something that could be attributed to his dirt racing background.
The dirt background and the ability to “run the cushion” seems to translate well to the fastest line here at Homestead. The two previous winners before Tyler Reddick?

Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson, who are both accomplished drivers on the dirt.
Bell’s recent run of success and the speed he showed at Las Vegas mean he will likely once again be a threat on Sunday but Larson had the fastest car last week and is my pick for the 2025 Straight Talk Wireless 400.
