I’m not high on Alabama this year; they will still be talented but won’t be like older teams. ECU has a good chunk of players coming back from last year’s Military Bowl team that beat full-strength Pitt. The Pirates have some experience and will be able to at least hold their own a bit against a more talented team.

Boise State at Oregon -24 O/U 51.5
The Broncos are the favorite out of the Mountain West with a real chance of making the playoff, taking on a loaded Oregon team. The Duck offense is going to score points, and Boise should get on the board in the second half, similar to JMU in last year’s playoff.

Clemson and LSU had a low-scoring matchup last year, and I believe it’s going to be similar this year. LSU’s defense should be gelling sooner under new leadership, and I don’t like Clemson’s offense at all. LSU is the only one that is going to be able to put up points.
