NFL Roundup – Week 2

What a week of chaos, touchdowns, injuries, and packed stadiums.

Browns 31 vs. Texans 21

We start out in Cleveland where the Texans had Baker Mayfield and the Browns on the ropes early before a series of injury bugs took out every starter it seemed like. TyGOD Taylor injured his hamstring and everything went to shit for the Texans. The positives are that the team is playing with a fire under their ass and a chip on their shoulder, that’s a product you can watch every Sunday even though it might be a loss. Our very own, Lachard Binkley wrote a great piece on this game.

Bears 20 vs. Bengals 17

The Bear’s defense made hell on earth for Joey Burrow. 3 interceptions and 4 sacks with a pick 6 in there and that’s a good day at the office for that defense. I don’t see how much longer Andy Dalton will hold off rookie Justin Fields even if he got in on an injury that sidelined Dalton for quite a bit of the game. Fields just adds another dynamic to the offense with his legs.

Rams 27 vs. Colts 24

COOPER KUPP IS MATT STAFFORDS SUPER SAFETY BLANKET. 9 catches for 163 yards and 2 TDs. ELITE. This LA offense is going to stay dangerous all year and they might be the team to beat in the NFC. Wentz got banged up again and the Colts had to turn to Jacob Eason with the game on the line and it ended just like you thought.

Bills 35 vs. Dolphins 0

Woof, what an ugly game of football for the Dolphins who lost QB1 Tua Tagovailoa to a rib injury in the first quarter. The Bills Mafia had their way in all facets of the game and won easily.

Patriots 25 vs. Jets 6

BIG MAC Jones and The Patriots defense did what they usually do against the Jets and that’s win. Rookie QB Zach Wilson had 4 interceptions and had to be seeing ghosts on the field. The Patriot’s defense against any rookie QB is never a recipe for a good thing.

49ers 17 vs. Eagles 11

What a gross game all around but a win is a win for San Fran. Jalen Hurts is going to be a problem in the NFC East. His duel threat ability can take over a game at any point.

Raiders 26 vs. Steelers 17

On a short week and a game across the country, THAAAA RAIDDERSSSSS pull off the most shocking upset of the week. Derek Carr showed a lot of GRIT and torched the vaunted Steeler defense for 382 yards. Big Ben is also washed.

Panthers 26 vs. Saints 7

A week after the Saints destroyed Aaron Rodgers, they just flat out didn’t show up against Carolina. Matt Ruhle is going to be a damn good NFL coach and with Joe Brady calling the shots as the OC, I think I will be buying all the future shares for Carolina.

Broncos 23 vs. Jaguars 13

TEDDY TWO GLOVES CANT STOP WINNING. I have always liked Teddy Bridgewater and to see him shine the way he has makes me happy. 328 yards and 2TD’s for the new QB1. Urban Meyer might fake a heart issue and bail to USC because these JAGUARS STINK.

Cardinals 34 vs. Vikings 33

Kyler Murray is a problem for this league and might win an MVP. 4 TOTAL TOUCHDOWNS. The Vikings also played lights out offensively only to see their kicker miss a chip shot.

Buccaneers 48 vs. Falcons 25

TOM BRADY OWNS ATLANTA

Cowboys 20 vs. Chargers 17

This was probably one of the UGLIEST games on the slate with a BILLION penalties but add another game-winning drive to Dak Prescott’s resume.

Titans 33 vs. Seahawks 30 OT

Derrick Henry is a mad man when he totes the rock. Russ Wilson throws the prettiest deep ball and we got one hell of a game in the PNW. Titans emerged with an overtime win and a lot of confidence moving forward.

Chiefs 35 vs. Ravens 36

I am shocked right now. I went to bed in the 2nd quarter thinking it was going to be a win for the Chiefs that they would cruise too. Hand up I was wrong, Lamar Action Jackson did the damn thing and got a huge win in primetime.
