I have talked about it all year. Framber Valdez is that dude. Twenty-two consecutive quality starts is absolutely bananas, and yet we are in late August just moving along ho-hum. He is without a doubt one of the best pitchers in baseball and no one is talking about him. Yes, he has ageless Justin Verlander coming off Tommy and being an ace, but if you put Framber Valdez on any team outside of the Mets and Dodgers you have an ace who is getting a lot more attention and a lot more Cy-Young votes.
We all know the success that has come over the last year and a half and the emergence of Frambers sports psychologist but I truly believe when you have a skipper like Dusty Baker that treats Framber like a workhorse of the 90s, you get a pitcher that oozes confidence. Last night for instance you saw The Framchise go 8 innings and other than two solo shots not break a sweat. Yes, it’s the Arlington Rangers but this is The Show and you have to get all 27 outs.
How about 24 of them by your next true ace?

Framber Valdez threw his 22nd consecutive quality start in tonight's win over the Rangers, setting both an Astros record AND the most by a left-handed pitcher since the earned run became official in 1913. pic.twitter.com/cgxibUg0Jw
