Out of absolutely no where, Cristian Javier has been given a 5 year extension from the Houston Astros! Dana Brown’s first signing as the general manager of the Astros, and boy was it a good one to do.

This deal keeps El Reptil tied to the Astros through the 2027 season and will pay him a total of $64 million. What an absolute steal. Javier has been a part of two no-hitters last season. One in the Bronx and one in the WORLD SERIES.
The deal effectively buys out all of his arbitration years, and two free agent seasons. It keeps down one of the most effective starting pitchers in the lineup for the next five seasons. What a move.
This is my mood:
I am literally so happy. Thank you Dana Brown 🫡
