Stars return Fredrik Karlstrom and Fredrik Olofsson to the Texas Stars. Considering the amount of players who missed practice yesterday, this doesn’t seem like just a paper transaction.

With the team experiencing some injury issues on the last few lines, sending your depth pieces back to the AHL should raise some eyebrows. Are the Dallas Stars about to make a trade?
The Dallas Stars have been in a little bit of a funk lately, and everyone knows that they’re in prime position to make a run at the coveted Stanley Cup. There’s a big ticket name coming into town Wednesday evening, and it would be an easy transition to switch locker rooms either before or after the game.
Patrick Kane has been sort of vocal about wanting out of Chicago and going to a contender. Vegas, Dallas, and Edmonton are the three teams that have been circulating in the rumor mill recently for the Kane sweepstakes.
The Dallas Stars don’t have a first round pick this summer, so in a theoretical trade, would they send off their 2024 first rounder? I’m not so sure. You have to imagine that Denis Gurianov is in the package, but the Stars might be too greedy to send off any of their coveted prospects. Wyatt Johnston and Ty Dellandrea should be off the table as well.
In my opinion, the Stars need to go after it this deadline and swing for the fences. As of right now, most everyone in the top lines are healthy. Jake Oettinger is one of the best goalies in the league, and there’s only so many more years you can depend on Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin to be elite, or sub-elite. Now is the time.
After loaning some players down to the AHL, are the Dallas Stars about to make a trade?
