FC Dallas is sitting pretty at third place in the Western Conference standings with hopes to lengthen their win streak to three games. They are also looking to continue their winning ways against the other team in Texas after winning their match against Austin FC last weekend. Jesús Ferreira and FC Dallas take on Houston Dynamo Saturday in Frisco at Toyota Stadium.

Through 12 matches, FC Dallas has won half of their battles, and has split their losses and draws in half. The team definitely could have a couple more wins under their belt, but this is almost a picture perfect start to the season. The last two matches, against Austin FC and Vancouver White Caps FC, have shown fans that their offense isn’t stagnant.
Ferreira is obviously a huge part in that after scoring the team’s last three goals, but the rest of the offense is creating pressure and opening up those chances for Ferreira to put in the back of the net.
The defense has been much better in recent weeks as well, so I’d expect these two trends to continue Saturday against Houston Dynamo FC. Houston is sitting in eighth position in the Western Conference standings, and are 0-4-1 on the road, so that doesn’t bode well for them this weekend as they are the visiting team.

If FC Dallas can get off to a hot start and create constant pressure in the first half, I’d expect that they’d end up getting on the scoreboard first. Clearly we will all look for Ferreira to be that goal scorer, but maybe someone else will surprise us. Maybe Dallas will win the game by multiple goals for the first time since early March.
